AUDIO: Darius chats about 'Funny Girl' - July 2017

🦋 Audio interview with Darius from July 2017. This week in 2017 Darius was appearing at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre in 'Funny Girl' and spoke to the theatre's podcast which you can listen to below. ❤️

Some reviews of the Wolverhampton shows:

"Darius Campbell is perfectly cast as Nick Arnstein. The ladies in the audience swoon at his suave, sophisticated portrayal and outstanding vocal performance, while the gentlemen just want to be him."

- The Express And Star

"Campbell, who's CV includes stints in Gone With The Wind, Guys And Dolls and a trio of appearances in Chicago, proves both his talent and vocal power with a compelling interpretation of Nick Arnstein. Far more than 'the guy from Pop Idol', Campbell takes a character, who's success to failure story is arguably the complete opposite of Fanny's, and holds his own beautifully. There's always a risk in a show that's centred around one particular character, that others can become supplementary - but this is very much not the case here."

-Black Country Radio

"I must also give credit to Darius Campbell who played Nicky Arnstein. I admit I was intrigued because my only knowledge of him was as a pop star in the early 2000’s. I am happy to say I was very pleasantly surprised. He was a charming leading man. Towering over Natasha with a gorgeously smooth baritone voice, his take on Nick Arnstein seemed effortless. There's undeniable chemistry between Campbell and Barnes that has you rooting for them the whole way and their voices melt together magnificently, no more so that in the number ‘Who Are You Now?’"
